Who We Are
Van’t Hof Concrete, Inc is a family owned and operated company that was founded in 1989 by Randy Van’t Hof. During the following nine years, Randy and his wife, Gretchen, gave birth to 3 sons. Dylon and Elijah have worked continuously for the family company since they were in High School starting in 2011 and 2014 respectively. Colton worked at the family company during High School (2007-2011) as well but served in the Navy for nine years (2011-2020) followed by a 3 year (2020-2023) stint at another local company before returning to Van’t Hof Concrete, Inc. Collectively they have over 65 years of experience in the concrete industry.
Randy began his work primarily in the Residential and Agriculture sectors. As experience was gained, the company was able to take on more difficult and involved work. Today Van’t Hof Concrete, specializes in large flatwork, and commercial/industrial structural concrete. Some examples of work they have completed are the Center Fresh egg laying barns near Sioux Center, A dorm building for NCC in Sheldon, the parking lot and drive areas of Mouw Motor Company, The new Sioux Center High School parking lot and drive areas, multiple houses in the Sioux Center area, Iowa State Bank in Holstein, the Orange City Middle School and High School Addition, and many more.

How thick should my concrete be?
There are many factors to take into consideration, but in general, here is what we would suggest:
For sidewalks, we would recommend at least 4 inches.
For car traffic, we would recommend at least 5 inches.
For heavy tracking or large vehicles, 6 inches +.
